Hey guys! A few years ago I made the mistake of going all out when applying tanning oil. I am black but my skin is medium brown. I rubbed the oil all over my chest area and put it on for about 20 minutes. Long story short, this is why I developed a type of chronic (undiagnosed) medical condition in which exposure to the sun in warm or cold weather causes severe itching and burning in the chest area, leading to skin discoloration. Burning and itching for days! I always have to plan ahead and if I'm not willing to change internal plans, I'll end up regretting it. I was on a group holiday last summer and didn't want to be a person. Saying "Can we go in?" every day. I didn't really think the shirt would fit, but the price was reasonable so I decided to give it a try. Ultimately I didn't need it for the trip but I used it for the first time last month. My friends and I went for a walk. We live in Texas. It was about 90 degrees and there was no shade at all. We walked a little under an hour. I was shocked. No itching or burning at all! I have since used it 6 or 7 more times for a similar purpose with AMAZING results. That's great. The only downside is that the shirt is thin but doesn't breathe well. So it's small but warm. The most important thing for me was the coverage. If you have sun sensitivity issues, buy this shirt! You will not be disappointed.
