In overall, the acquisition meets all of the expectations. However, it appears that the only thing that differentiates them from the HD180 is the color of the box; therefore, I am unsure whether or not it is rational to spend more for these. Got pros: Excellent sound quality; all of the instruments are discernible to a high degree. When it is linked to a digital piano, every sound is recreated in exquisite detail. The headphones themselves are of very high quality construction, giving the appearance that one is purchasing something positive. They are quite comfortable to wear, and the bow can be adjusted to fit a variety of different sized heads. Having this drawback: Wires of a thin gauge, similar to those seen on plugs for 300-400. An unpleasant surprise. I would prefer a digital piano to have a little bit more volume headroom if it were possible.
