The bag did exactly what I needed. I had questions before buying it and none of them answered my needs. So I thought ok I'll just give it a try and hopefully help someone else in the same predicament. I recently flew Allegiant Air. Your pet bag requirements state that the bag must be 9 inches. This bag is 11 inches. I was concerned it wouldn't fit under the seat, the Allegiant wouldn't let me use a bag for my flight, it wasn't flexible enough to fit in a 9 inch space when I absolutely needed it, etc. Well , After setting up and transporting, the bag does not really bend. In terms of durability, it's good. But what I need is not much. Again, the bag is 11 inches and I needed 9 inches. The description lists Allegiant Air as one of the compatible airlines this bag will work with, although it is overpriced which was one of the deciding factors I bought this bag for. However, when I arrive at the airport, the size of the bag is not checked. I get on the plane and stuff my bag under the seat. There's about an inch of free space above the bag. I definitely feel relieved. So if you fly an Allegiant and are looking for a bag that's big but still performs, this is for you! The top opening is great, my dog loved sticking his head in. All side openings are good. I did but don't use them on the plane. My dog had enough space without opening them. She is a 16.5 pound Maltichon. Overall worth the price and have worked with Allegiant. I would buy it again if I had another dog and will use my bag many times in all my future travels.
