These gloves are KNIFE resistant, but not really mandolin slicers. Which is why I bought them. I gave the a two overall because they do work if you are using a knife and accidentally slide over your finger. But I don't think they would hold up very long if you did that repeatedly. They are cloth so they take up liquid you are cutting through so you have to wash them every time. That was no big deal. But it took about two accidental passes across my mandolin slicer to open a hole through the glove. I didn't cut myself. But I would've if I hadn't been paying attention. Pay a little more and save your fingers. You won't be growing new ones!
