Review on Black Logitech Z207 2.0 Stereo Speaker for Multiple Devices by Gunaraj Varga

I bought these for $40 when my old Altec Lansing computer speakers finally broke after 9 years (due to a faulty cable which I could fix but I wanted some Bluetooth .) and I'm very happy with it. They're big, but the size is mostly vertical, so they don't take up much desk space. The built-in stand makes each speaker quite stable: if you knock them over, they'll be to the side, but they're pretty stable there too. Bluetooth works great. I bought them because they had both wired and bluetooth connection and both connections work fine. There is a headphone jack on the front of the speaker which I haven't used and probably never will. The sound quality is excellent for this price range. The bass is surprisingly good for a system without a subwoofer. I am really impressed. I find it odd that people complain that they aren't loud enough: what are you trying to use them for? It's a $40 pair of computer speakers for a desk: what do you expect? I have a huge living room and they fill the room without even lifting them all the way up. If I turn them all the way down it gets loud enough to make standing next to them uncomfortable and probably loud enough to call the police. Yes, they're not suited to throwing a dance party in a large hall, but they're loud enough for the way they're sold: they can definitely operate much louder than many computer speakers in a similar price range. .I am very satisfied and can only warmly recommend them. Time will tell if the cables on the back will hold up (in my experience they're usually the first thing that gets plugged into computer speakers), but I'm hoping that the bluetooth feature will minimize the extent to which I have to move them and make them last longer. .
