Review on Women'S Sequin Art Deco 1920S Flapper Dress With Sleeves by Kari Miller

Perfect for the event

My son and his fiancee planned a "Gatsby" wedding, with a roaring 20's theme. I love cosplay and have many costumey items in my wardrobe; however, I have also gained enough weight so that none of them fit for this occasion. I ordered this dress and one other with two-day shipping, and ended up choosing this to wear. I am 5'10" and currently wear a 2X, so, anticipating this might run small, I ordered a 3X and the fit was perfect. The dress was in good shape (a few small threads hanging, and I think I lost some beads and at least one fringe by the end of the evening.) It may have a zipper, but it's stretchy so I was able to pull it over my head easily-except for the fringe (see below.) As another reviewer noted, the dress has a tendency to ride up, so I wore a slip underneath as well as a body-shaper with built-in shorts. Even then, it did tend to ride up while sitting. The fringe is fun, but, as you can imagine, it makes adjusting the dress a lot more complicated (don't go to the bathroom unless you really have to!) Without knowing what the bride's dress looked like, I ordered this color because it was one of the few in my size (It's the black beaded overlay with the champagne-colored underlayer.) It turned out to be the perfect shade. The color is best described as taupe. Anyway, for the price and for my particular figure challenges, I was delighted to find something that worked. It made "Mother-of-the-Groom" Dress shopping much less depressing than I had anticipated!
