This is my first duvet cover I'm buying so I'm not sure if they're that difficult to put on but this one was. The zipper does not open fully from side to side, making it extremely difficult to "stuff" the blanket into the cover! Also, the zipper came dangerously close to getting lost several times, trying to slide the blanket inside. Once I got the comforter fully on I had a lot of lumps because it was very difficult to get the comforter into all the corners of the bedspread and I had to shake it out which turned out to be almost impossible on my own. As a result, my finished product doesn't look as smooth, crisp, and wrinkle-free as the packaging. However, the cover is really pretty. I love the design of the sheet and the fact that it's double sided. It is VERY comfortable and lightweight. I really struggled to find the cover with the pattern/color I wanted but this one is very good. We are in the process of redecorating our bedroom and this bedspread will work well in the warmer months. Haven't had it long enough to comment on stain resistance but maintenance is easy enough, very comfortable and looks lovely. I have not contacted the company but the information in the package (which was great) seems to represent a company of high standards. If only that damn zipper would open to its full length!
