Nicely tailored shirt but not comfortable in humid heat

Nicely tailored shirt. I went for the medium - I'm 5'4" and 112 pounds. It's quite roomy on me and the sleeves are too long. If I could get another one I'd try the small one. I live in one humid area of Texas and was hoping to wear it to agility class tonight. I didn't find it any better than a standard light shirt. In fact the collar was heavy with sweat and quite uncomfortable. I rolled up my sleeves to keep it cool to keep, but bought long sleeves to ward off blood-sucking insects in the evenings, so that was counterproductive.
