High quality toe cap that stays in place while riding. The underside of the shoe sole strap also has a grippy texture to help you hold it securely when you're at traffic lights/wet surfaces. When I get up and leave, the strap starts to fall, but you won't lose it completely because it snaps to the bottom drawstring. One caveat is that if you have lighter weight canvas combat boots like me there will be a black mark on the shoes. This keeps the shoe from moving away from the hole, which is great but also leaves a permanent mark. So it all depends on what kind of shoe you use it on. This will DEFINITELY prevent new scratches from appearing on your boot, and if it's a black or tan boot the black spot probably won't appear and you'll be fine.
