I don't think this is a suitable bed for a cat. I originally ordered this bed because I liked that it was fluffy and reversible. One side is more fluffy to provide warmth in winter and the other side is NOT fluffy to keep your cat from overheating in summer. The bed looks nice and all but it's very soft and uneven instead of flat and stable. He would tremble if they stuck a cat in him, which he didn't like. I've tried luring my cat with catnip, his favorite blanket, treats, and other means and he refused to sleep in it. As I began observing my cat, I noticed that she prefers to sleep on hard surfaces: tables, chairs, boxes, beds, floors, etc. My sister bought my cat a round flat bed that was soft but not too fluffy or is blurred. He loves sleeping in this bed. It's strong because it's flat and not even 0.5 inches thick from the bottom. He also likes to sleep curled up in the so-called fetal position. The other bed makes it easy for him because it's round. Save your money and don't buy this bed. Cats are pretty simple animals. I saw a bed my sister bought my cat for $10 at the store. I bet it could be cheaper online. This bed, while nice, wasn't worth it. Now it just sits in my house taking up space and I have no idea what to do with it after spending so much money on it. I think I will try to give or resell.
