Amochien Bridge + Large Dog + Van

PRODUCT: I purchased the Revain Amochien Backseat Bridge for Dogs. Arrived on time and in good packaging. The product came packaged in a resealable drawstring bag inside a giant ziplock plastic bag. The set also includes 2 harnesses for dogs. All in all it was a solid and high quality product. FIT: The platform width was perfect for the 2nd and 3rd row seats of my Honda Odyssey van. The headrest straps were not aligned with the headrests on my van. This was understandable given that my van is wider than the car and the straps could be adjusted to extend far enough (to the maximum) to snap and lock into place. The seat covers under the headrests were high enough to cover just below the headrest and up to the edge of the seat. I like the ability to fold the seats 3/2/1. This is important as the seats can be folded down in different combinations depending on space requirements. STABLE WEIGHT: I was concerned about how my 3 year old 70 lb GSD would hold it. So I installed it as soon as I opened the box to test it on my dog (see attached photos). My dog walked, stood, sat and lay on top of him. Seems to be holding up very well. I didn't see any sign of it flexing on the bridge (just hung off the ground with headrest straps). It gave my dog extra space and comfort. So much so that when I took it for a test drive, he didn't know what to do with the new space. BIG DOG: The PRO-my dog had space in the "cabin" to run freely and lie down comfortably/confidently. Now he can stick his head out the window without having to use my van doors to support him. Con-my Dog can still reach the driver's side console if he wants to. But I didn't buy it for that reason (it's obedient). But I still recommend installing a divider so the boundaries are clear for everyone in the van (I found a divider that I think can easily be moved from the 2nd to the 3rd row). DOG HAIR/FREE: Finally, to the little things. All GSD owners know how notorious this dog breed is for shedding coats and large paws. My dog has dirty paws (from the park, beach, rain, mud, etc.). I'm happy to report that even with the windows open, when he blew his fur all over the van during our test drive, no hair fell to the floor. See picture with closed seats WITHOUT dog. This happened after our 1st test drive. Yes, this hair is from ONE short test drive. NO HAIRS ON THE FLOOR!
