Review on Joying AHD Backup Camera - Enhanced Night Vision Car Reverse Camera | 1080P Backup Camera by Michael Jennings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If I could give this camera 10 stars I would!

This new AHD 1080p backup from Joying is SUPER clear! It's literally the same as having a high-end smartphone camera as your rear camera! I have installed car audio my whole life and let me tell you straight away that there is no other camera on the market that even offers comparable picture clarity. That's one thing, and day and night! And wiring. This is by far the best backup camera wiring diagram for a universal kit! The video cable cord is about 5 or 6 feet longer than any of the other cameras I have recommended and regularly installed from Esky (good cameras just NOT as clear and sharp as these!). And it's a simple two wire connection (black and red wire only) that you connect to the + and - wires on the reverse lights. Most universal kits also require you to manually connect the 2nd small red wire to the + wire, but not this kit! It's already built in! This makes the connection much cleaner and significantly reduces installation time and labor costs. As for the radio, just connect the yellow RCA video wire to the rear camera video input and crimp the small red wire to the Joying radio's RETURN wire (Reverse Trigger Wire) and you're good to go. Just go to the radio settings, go to the factory settings tab, enter the password 3368 and change the rear camera video format to AHD format for the camera to work properly. Otherwise you'll just get weird black and white video output, lol. Again, for only $25 for SO good camera and SO good cable set you would be a fool not to order it! I've installed it on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee with no problems, as have several of my local customers. One was even a 2007 Dodge Ram 4-Door with a long bed and the video cable was still long enough to run from the label along the frame through the floorboard and up the dash to the radio and still had a few video cables slack in inch so that it can be easily connected to the radio!
