Ideal if you want to permanently ruin your desk

We made the mistake of relying on the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this product. I cannot encourage you if you are alone to pay particular attention to the negative reviews as now that we have read them we realize we could have saved ourselves a lot of trouble and a messed up table. It's like the O Henry story - we were so concerned about protecting the beautiful finish of our new dining table that we bought a cover for it, only to damage it precisely because of that cover, to the point where the guarantor refused Honor because it wasn't "accidental" (by covering it with this "protective" sheet). Prevention was worse than any wear and tear we could accumulate. As everyone else has pointed out, this cheap and inferior plastic leaves a permanent sticky residue on your desk, stains, wets and stains it and proves to be rock solid. any attempt to remove the transmitted odor. If you're looking for a way to permanently maim your table with an all-over stain that causes napkins, dust, and anything else that might get on it to permanently cling to it, you're in luck. This product will do everything. I suppose this could serve as a seemingly well-intentioned gift to cruel and vengeful people that will actually damage their furniture, but if you're really interested in actually protecting and preserving your furniture, run as fast and as far as you can. You can from this brutal product. This will completely ruin your table, and most likely it will happen in such a way that the guarantee does not cover, so you will throw away that money too. I've added a picture to show the difference in the permanent plastic residue on the table. Surface compared to the intact plate underneath. Nothing could ruin this awful stuff, from Goo Gone Professional to various oils and Mohawk Wax Wash. This horrible finish is so obviously bad and damaging that we have no choice but to completely repaint the table.
