Did exactly what I needed
The cable was just what I needed to connect my HDMI TV monitor to my desktop. Even though I already had a DisplayPort adapter, it was plugged into the monitor's VGA port and still wasn't clear enough to see without my glasses. I can now adjust the resolution with a few options so that I can now see the monitor clearly even without glasses. I don't know what others have complained about but it was just what I needed!
