We have 3 scratching posts and the baskets on all 3 fell into disrepair, bent and cracked after a few months of use by our 2 adult cats (12 and 18). 10 pounds). These replacement baskets are sturdy and show no signs of weakness even after months of heavy use. In particular, one basket is used more than the other and doesn't even flex in the slightest with the weight of our 12 pound cat. I recommend this to anyone who needs to replace their furry friend's favorite spot in the house. It doesn't have to be a color match, but they don't care and I just want her to be happy... and she is!
