Cooling right out of the box is excellent. My new MSI i9 gets very hot and so far this has been a fantastic way to keep the melting point to a minimum. The fans also make quite a bit of noise, but it doesn't matter in my house - certainly not something I'd want to sleep next to. The LED lighting options are substandard and unfortunately not really customizable - you only have the option to toggle between preset options - none of which is my preference and I'd like to find a Razer brand to match my other gaming gadgets. It's really annoying that I haven't even taken it out of the box for a full 24 hours (the protective film is still on) and noticed this morning that the sticker covering the various selection buttons keeps popping up. from the base unit. I pressed it repeatedly, getting up for various work breaks today only to return to my desk to find the sharp-edged sticker reappearing in my absence. There's no heat where the sticker is, so I can't figure out why it's rising? Possibly mild air pressure of the fans? Anyway, I'm disappointed that the engineers didn't fix such a simple design flaw before releasing this thing. At $40, I'm really wondering what's going to break next. ๐
