Strangely musty: Homeware

I bought a multipack of all three types to use as a fabric refresher. Of the three, lavender emerges as the clear winner. It has a very authentic lavender scent - more like the bold, bold scent of freshly crushed lavender than the sweeter, milder scent of dried lavender. The thing is, he's really strong. If I want to cover a large area of fabric, when I'm done spraying, the room smells incredibly like lavender. Most of this goes away within a few hours or so depending on how much I've used, but I certainly don't want to spray the blanket and then use right away. or even stay in the room where I sprayed it. Maybe just a tiny spray per pillow. The other two scents are much, much more subdued. Citrus and spice flavors are spicier than citrus, a dark, heavy aroma, and lemongrass is, as you'd expect, lighter and more lemony. But both have a serious problem: Above all, they smell strangely musty. A few days after using one of these sprays, the intended smell is almost gone, but the musty smell still lingers. (I think I would have preferred lemongrass, except the citrus spice smell goes a little better with mustiness.) The good news is that these sprays don't leave a sticky or oily residue or visible stains on the skin. the clothing. Also, they seem to have had limited success in getting rid of problematic odors -- at least the citrus and lemongrass varieties (with lavender, it's hard to capture anything other than that overpowering lavender scent) -- but when the compromise is a sticky, musty smell, it's not its worth it.

Pros
  • Fresh, clean and natural! This multipack is more convenient and safer than a bath candle. The savory air freshener eliminates unpleasant odors with a light, fresh scent and is non-aerosol.
Cons
  • Excessive price
