I don't like writing bad reviews but I hope to help other people. I needed to replace my Aqua Bliss shower filter and was lured in by the lower price and great reviews for this filter. Maybe it works for everyone but me, or maybe it's one of those companies that pays you to upgrade your rating to 4 or 5 stars. I don't know if this is true, but as a side note, it's a shame that this is happening as I spend a lot of time reading reviews before making a purchase and appreciate honest reviews. Ever since I first installed this filter, the water that comes out smells like ammonia. I live in Los Angeles and the water is bad, it dries out my skin and hair and my eyes turn bright red when I get out of the shower. It also makes my scalp flaky. Aqua Bliss helped with all of this. The minute I changed the filter, all the old symptoms returned. It can't be a coincidence because the smell was instantaneous. I always hoped it would get better, but now I have to ditch both and buy a new Aqua Bliss. I only decided to write this review because I'm sitting here scratching my head and remembering how disappointed I am with these filters. I bought it back in November and only recently installed it as my Aqua Bliss still had a few months of use. Otherwise, if there was a reasonable amount of time, I would come back immediately. Hope this review helps. I want to give zero stars but the price is good if they suit you. Maybe if you don't have sensitive skin or live in an area that doesn't have bad water this could work for you. But then again, why need a filter if that's the case?
