Music streamed from Spotify VIA iPhone is not as dynamic as music played from iPhone in the iTunes library stored on the phone, so this may indicate acceptable sound quality. If you can get Polk, Micca, or Sony or whatever for an extra $25, go for it. If not, don't worry, these are decent speakers for the price. A little extra to be able to play bass-heavy music better than the drivers would allow (that does NOT mean they're good at bass-heavy stuff because they can't. Get a $125 subwoofer if you If you just want some better bass and brighter highs, consider the mainstream brands (on sale) instead.
