This item is the golden treasure of the Super Search & Hunt I took part in. The TV had an HDMI port. The laptop had a VGA port. This item can do what I wanted after a long hunt. Show your laptop screen on a big screen TV (with the added benefit of sound). Make sure you have a USB port on your TV to power the small box/converter shown in the main image. If not, you can improvise and use a plug, but it must be very close or with an extension cord. Most televisions have a USB port in addition to the HDMI port. A perfect example would be a Chromecast® or something similar in terms of a USB port delivering power. I hope whoever is reading this understands the precise purpose of this article and you don't have to do the hunt I was forced to do.. Computer has VGA but no HD? Does the TV have 1 or 2 or more HD connections? automatically and discreetly now pc or laptop sound source unless you are using tv speakers which is great too!) Great unit and have had it for quite some time. No problem. Highly recommended.
