I discovered Taste of the Wild dry cat food with my last rescued Siamese cat. It was a medium haired cat that was shedding like crazy. She gained too much weight on the former cat food. I wanted her to get the best food, grain free (as recommended by her foster parents) that wouldn't hurt my wallet - so I found Taste of the Wild. I first found it at a local hardware store for a great price. It hit all the right moments - affordable, high-quality ingredients, grain-free, made in the USA. My Siamese didn't like the taste of fish, so I opted for the Rocky Mountain Cat Recipe with Roast Venison and Smoked Salmon. Fish was not the main meat for this recipe. One of the main things that struck me happened when I first opened the package. The smell of this recipe is simply spicy. It smells fresh and delicious to my human nose. (Every time I open a new packet of Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain Feline, I love inhaling the savory taste.) My cat was instantly hooked. She liked the taste. Who cares what it did for my cat. Over the next few weeks and months, she lost weight, her energy increased, her insane loss diminished significantly, and she went from pretty to beautiful. She became more of a companion cat than a part-time pet. After her death we were without cats for a few years. At just the right moment, a beautiful tricolor/striped rescue kitten crossed the street for us. I didn't think twice about what cat food I would feed her. I immediately went back to the Wild Rockies Flavor recipe. She loved it straight away. She's picky when it comes to wet cat food (she only wants sauce), but always enjoys dry bits of TotW. She is now a beautiful cat with bright and sparkling eyes and a beautiful medium to long coat. I have no reason to refuse this recipe. I saw nothing but benefit. I tried the Canyon River recipe with trout and salmon. Fish is of course the main ingredient. I didn't like the smell of fish. My cat ate it but I saw that she didn't like the taste as much as the Rocky Mountain recipe. I'd love to let my cat try Lowland Creek's recipe to see if she prefers the flavor, but it was a lot harder to find. To be honest, I know my cat is happy with Rocky Mountain, and it's readily available online and locally so I don't have to fiddle with anything else. I just satisfy my curiosity and find out what my cats like and don't like. Overall, I highly recommend Taste of the Wild cat food. You have earned my trust and respect over the years. I've seen the benefits my cats get from eating their food. it is available It's nutritious. It has made my cats happy and healthy. If they're healthy, I'm happy. I just want my pets to be happy, healthy, and loved.
