The Honda dealership charged $250 to replace the fan motor on my 60,000km 2016 Accord. No thanks! How to replace the motor. Pull down the black plastic cover under the glove box on the passenger side. It is held by 4 clips. Once removed, you will see the fan motor. Press the connector to disconnect it from the motor. The motor is held by 3 screws. You can use a #15 Torx bit, but I chose a flathead screwdriver. For this reason there are slots in the screw. You need a short screwdriver for the screw on the back. There isn't much room in the back. Remove 3 screws, then install a new fan motor. Reconnect the electrical connector. Before replacing the black plastic cover under the glove box, start the vehicle and check that the air conditioning is working. If so, replace the cap and you're done. It literally took me 15 minutes to install and saved me a lot of money. This new fan motor was perfect for my Accord. All screw holes were perfectly aligned and the electrical connection was in place. Best of all, the fan no longer makes any noise and my air conditioning works! This is a common fault with Honda and has been occurring for years. One would think that they would solve this problem by now. Save some money and do it yourself. Hope this helps!
