I have this light to expose gems in better light. I'm a jeweller, I host jewelry parties several times a year and I've found that the ambient lighting in homes is usually not good enough for optimal color rendering. I like to display gemstones so people can see what individual pieces I have to offer. Imagine this lamp: at my last party, where I used it for the first time, this little light worked beautifully. On a full charge it lasted another 1.5 hours of burn time (I used it at 5000k - last color) for another hour. Only then did it begin to fade. It never really went out - just dimmed until I turned it off after 3.5 hours. It's thin and its temple opens very wide. The button is easy to use and touch sensitive - perhaps too sensitive as I've found a couple of times. But I've found that if I keep it in the box, it stays off. It also offers three color temperatures: 2700K (soft white); 6500K (true daylight); and 5000k (also called daylight, but warmer). And that's why I ordered this lamp, plus battery life. All in all, this is a great purchase. It's perfect for my needs! And I was delighted to see it at my jewelry party - it played great!
