I bought these because my nails are separating from the nail bed due to a side effect of chemotherapy. As a result, I couldn't put on anything like clothes without fear of hurting my nails even more. The doctors told me to wear Neosporin patches but it's a hassle changing them every hour, buying and doing them over and over again. Make sure you use them correctly. But with these fingertips, all you have to do is apply and apply Neosporin and even tea tree oil to your fingers. They stay on your fingers until you take them off and keep their shape after hand washing and laying flat to dry. They have really made me more comfortable, my doctor even said they are better than walking around with bandages. They are also great for chemo patients who get cold fingertips as a side effect during chemo. I took a photo next to the pencil so you can get an idea of the length and the finger guards on the bottom are brand new, never worn, the top is still the same after washing and drying as when I opened the package
