I recently purchased a 27" x 5" x 36" Med/LG dog coat. I have a dog who recently had spinal surgery for a disc injury. I needed something soft and cool to keep her in the kennel because we needed to limit her activity. I bought a 2 inch gel foam mattress topper for about $40 at a local department store and cut it into 3 equal pieces. I stacked them on top of each other, covered them with a sheet and put them in their kennel. I was looking for something more convenient and easy to use and manage. I couldn't find an inexpensive, custom made dog bed that was thick enough and comfortable for my dog. This cover is ideal for stacked sections. The cut sections stacked on top of each other are 25 x 6 x 34 inches which fit snugly in this case and due to the 6 gauge it fills it completely. Now I have the best begging dog ever! Comfort and ease of use.
