Why don't all those curling kits have a grip? I have thick 3B curly hair. If I'm not using a product with a good hold, half of my hair looks like it's been combed. I should have known that a spray instead of mousse or gel wouldn't work, but there's always hope that the product will miraculously tame and soften to the point where a stronger stuff isn't needed anymore, or ? NOT CORRECT. It is required and not included in this set. The shampoo is good, it foams and the hair is clean. The conditioner smells like pickled cucumbers and is not moisturizing enough. The cream is scented (to balance out the previous pickling step I think) and medium, like many other leave-in conditioners I've tried. The spray penetrates everywhere, no matter how carefully I try, and doesn't have a strong smell. The first time I only used these products and obviously my curly hair was a disaster. The second time I added my regular curling mousse and it looked great, maybe even a little curvier in the back than usual. Then I tried less mousse and more spray and the results just didn't impress me. Since the bottles are small and last about a week, I expect unprecedented results at $46. These results weren't enough to whet the appetite for more in the bottle.
