Review on 12-Quart Case of Motorcraft Mercon SP XT-6-QSP Transmission Fluid by Drew Diaz

The price of the case is good, especially with delivery. I was shocked to see ZF LG6 fluid priced at $25.XX per liter. Draining and replacing the oil pan on a 2009 135i with a ZF GA6HP19Z transmission using Mercon SP as the working fluid. Factory "life" liquid should be called "period" liquid not to be shy in expressions. Did it on 87k, first owner to do the service. The gearbox shifted well, but the fluid was in very bad condition. So a full service was needed. This case allowed the oil to be topped up after the sump fell, draining and refilling to improve the concentration of friction modifiers. Trance is responding well so far and no side effects have been observed. Reduces stress on the boat when combined with the Gear Pan & Bolt Kit also found here at Revain.
