First Thoughts: When I first saw this product online I was expecting a gummy feel. Turns out the FastSnail grips look like a smoother/smoother version of the Joy-Con grip that came with the Switch. Inserting the Joy-Cons into the Grip is as quick and easy as removing them, and the lightweight design makes them ideal for travel. I tested the grip with the notoriously weird R Joy-Con while playing the MK8 Deluxe. With no grip, the R Joy-Con forces me to wield the controller for a reasonably comfortable grip, pressing the SL and SR buttons on top becomes a chore and causes a bit of a cramp when I'm riding tricky tracks. The grip allowed me to hold the R-Joy like a traditional controller, the SL/SR bumpers on the grip made using the SL/SR buttons more responsive, and the center joystick was more comfortable to use. Final Verdict: This is a quality product at an affordable price that is essential for Switch owners trying to get the most out of their Joy-Cons. The FastSnail grips give the Joy-Con some much-needed weight that makes it more comfortable for long gaming sessions and sharing with others.
