First let me say that I am not a photographer and I know this is not a professional camera. I bought this camera so I can take good pictures of my kids growing up over the years, but my iPhone seems to take about the same quality. However, I didn't have an iPhone when I bought this camera, so it was a good investment at the time. It's a fairly light, not-so-bulky camera that takes decent pictures for everyday shooting. It has a good zoom range without sacrificing image quality too much. There is also a slot for a memory card and one for a battery. For the price, this is a good camera and its core features make it easy to use for almost anyone.
