My home has an unfinished basement and at the top of the stairs is wall-to-wall maroon carpeting. My handyman asked me to buy these rugs so that if someone comes from the basement to the first floor, cement or construction dust will stick to the rug and not leave marks on my carpeting at the top of the steps. There are instructions on how to attach the rug to the floor but I never figured it out. The photo shows the mat after use. Each pad contains 30 sheets and once a sheet gets too dirty the top sheet can be removed to allow a new sticky surface to be used. There are 4 carpets of 30 sheets each. Carpets should be stored FLAT to maintain their correct shape. It certainly worked for MY purposes. I'm sure it would be good for people who have pets.
