Update: Yes, every inch of this material is so dirty it now feels scratchy and uncomfortable. I have soft sheets and still haven't washed them because I didn't want to ruin them. Funny, the seams keep coming undone. I wish I could get a refund but I already have to replace it, it's terrible not being able to wash my duvet. Do not buy. Great, really, that's why I'm so annoyed that like everyone said it's ripping at the seams and the underside is pretty cracked in just 2 months. I didn't even wash it because I was afraid of the seams, so... they're just badly sewn. It stinks because I had another blanket from this company that lasted me 4 years and many washes and was still like new... I only got rid of it because I got this one. I'm annoyed it wasn't cheap but not worth not washing it. The cushion in the kit also came loose at the seam within two days.
