I'm a big fan of alpaca comforters so I got curious when I saw these pillows. The price is top of the market but I liked the fact that alpacas need to be sheared every year and that it is an environmentally friendly product. I sleep on a lightly filled queen size pillow and am happy with that. I like a fairly flat pillow and it took me a few weeks to really get used to the pillow and the pillow on me. I also found it gets quite hot so I put on a cooling cap and the heat retention wasn't too bad. But I'm very hot, so it's unlikely that most people will have this problem. In general, the pillow is really luxurious. It's hard to put into words how luxurious the alpaca fur inside the pillow feels. The outer shell of the pillow is very comfortable and pleasant to the touch. Another plus is that I haven't had any allergy issues with this pillow and it doesn't pill at all. You don't have to worry about getting poked with the tip of a pen.
