I had 2 iPads. Original (iPad 1) and I recently bought an iPad Air for Christmas. I was very fond of my original iPad and have taken good care of it on several occasions over the years. My intention was to get a full case (front and back) asap to prevent scratches and give it extra protection in my laptop bag during my daily commute. Per price. I would say for this price it doesn't get any better. It's much cheaper than Apple's branded cover with most features. It fits the iPad Air snugly, and the magnetic sleeve that lets you toggle functionality on and off works well. Cons - materials and design. Honestly. In this scenario, you get MORE than you pay for. For the money this really is a decent case. However, this is no $70 leather case. It's not as sophisticated and flexible as other more expensive cases. There are some sharp edges left by the manufacturing process. "Leather" materials are really just plastic. I didn't notice a strong smell like others have mentioned but the feel of the materials is there. Spring. cheap. More than that. The ability to adjust the view on a flat surface is very limited. Essentially you have two positions. tucked underneath or "flat" on the table, and when the lid is folded into a triangle, rise about 1.5 inches. I find this to be a little less than I would like to sit at table/chair height to watch a movie. or view the application. There are far better cases out there if you want flexibility in viewing angles. Overall I would highly recommend buying this case just be aware of what you are getting for your money. You want something that better matches the beauty and function of your new $500+ iPad that will work great as a replacement or temporary case until you find the "perfect" iPad case solution.
