Review on ASUS VG259QM 24.5" 1920X1080 DisplayPort HDR Gaming Monitor, 280Hz, Flicker-Free, Pivot, Tilt, Height Adjustments by Keith West

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Brief overview (since there weren't any at the time of writing)

- Good color accuracy in delivery condition. There was nothing to adjust other than the obscenely high brightness that every monitor seems to have these days. ELMB is surprisingly good, although it seems to block overdrive. If I had to guess, it would be 60 acceleration, since that's the monitor's default setting. I've only heard bad things about the ELMB from reviews of other models, so I'm glad to see that it's at least a little useful here. There's no grainy text or anything that has plagued some of last year's 24-inch models. - The menus are easy to navigate and the OSD joystick is of good quality. - Really nice heavy stand that can be rotated, tilted, pivoted and adjusted in height. - Speakers are good, monitor speakers. If you've heard monitor speakers, you've basically heard them all. Can't expect much from 2W. Although the option is there. registered the panel as 10-bit color below 240Hz. For folks worried about 60Hz performance, sorry. I don't have the equipment or knowledge to come up with specific numbers. All I can say is that I didn't notice any excessive input lag when playing on my PS4/Switch. Overall, I highly recommend the monitor if you're looking. for panel 240 Hz. The price ($319) I think is very good considering everything (IPS, 240 Hz, good build quality, ergonomic stand). I tried a 1440p monitor and didn't think the drop in performance was worth the meager increase in accuracy. If you're looking for a monitor that you'll use purely for gaming/browsing, I think you're better off sticking with the tried and tested 24-inch/1080p combo so you can get higher frame rates without worrying about how to play around with windows scaling to make text easy to read. It's also easier to use multi-monitor setups with smaller monitor sizes. If you need the extra space that 1440p/4k gives you for multitasking, then you probably already know what you want. Edit: Since the reviews for this model appear to have been merged with a number of other models, this one is for " VG259QM". I know it should be above the review but I want to point it out here to eliminate any possible confusion.
