My 2.5 year old loves them. We only give her 2 or 3 at a time as they don't have the option to change batteries. As soon as they left, they left. However, it's a lot of fun and makes bath time interesting. We also talked at her concert about why it has to get wet to turn it on (very easy way) and she seems to understand. During the day she plays with him. She just moistens the foundation with her finger and has a lot of fun. Worth the money despite the lack of an option to swap out batteries.
