Light cover does not fully cover the standard 4" overhead switch box. In my case, I installed a "refurbishment/old design" ceiling box that has a 1/4" flange on the ceiling. The lamp cover did not completely cover the blue plastic. I checked the lamp cover for compliance with the standard" New" reviewed. Construction "4" ceiling box. The lid barely covered the electrical box meaning any gap between the drywall and the box or any torn edge of the drywall would be visible. The fixture has 2 metal rods which are pivotally mounted in the center, one is attached to the electrical box and the other to the luminaire. This allows the bracket to be positioned/oriented as required, while the bracket as a whole is still attached to the electrical box regardless of the orientation of the mounting holes. These 2 Brackets were made of very soft steel that buckled down when I tried to tighten the bracket to hold it to the ceiling.I k The luminaire cover could not lift flush with the ceiling, resulting in a gap between the ceiling and the luminaire. The metal was soft enough that I could bend the clasp into the desired shape with my hands. It was a serious problem that forced me to return the product. It was evident that this item was returned by another customer as some small parts were missing. wire nuts, mounting screws. Things that are easy and cheap to replace, but cause problems mid-installation. I ended up buying another light from a different manufacturer and the light cover was large enough to completely cover the overhead control box with extra "space". " to close the small gap between the ceiling and the electrical box. The mounting bracket was of a similar design but was made of high quality steel that didn't bend and I was able to press the light firmly against the ceiling. The replacement bracket cost me triple the price of this product, but it was evident that the entire mount was made from the finest materials and construction.
