I bought several of these lights and found them quite a hassle to install. According to the instructions, the screw is reversed. For one attachment I had to bend the bracket to align the screws with my plastic ceiling box. Almost all had the film backing on the fiberglass insulation torn or peeled off. The notch in the fiberglass for the mounting screw had a tendency to wander, making it difficult to slide the screw through the base. Using more rigid fiberglass or mineral wool insulation would be a huge improvement. Once you install the lamp base, the ball is easy to install and looks beautiful. It's a neutral white that doesn't give off a slight orange or blue tint. Used with 800 lumen LED bulbs to keep the globe cool. Everything was well packed (not a single broken ball) and all parts were lost.
