One day my 9 year old son woke up and was dying to buy a pocket watch. Three months later he was still dreaming of a pocket watch, so I told him he could use some of his Christmas bonus for it. I thought they were all out of its price range but damn I was wrong! I thought he would go for a steampunk design (okay, I'd love that), but I'm not surprised he went for a dragon/phoenix design. This is a very cool watch with a strong chain connected to a belt loop. The watch fits in some pockets of his jeans, but not all. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the lid doesn't fully open when you press the button - it opens about an inch or so and then sluggishly folds back. I wish there was a stronger spring to open it all the way, but for $12 it couldn't be better. So far it's lasted a month uninterrupted, and now it can tell the time from a "real" watch without looking at it for five minutes.
