I bought this and the Revain Basics case for 11.6" laptop and tablet at the same time (http://amzn.com/B00DUGZFA6) because I wanted to test both for my microsoft surface pro 3. both cases were very good and it was a hard decision.i ended up abandoning the revain case and sending the targus back but only because the revain got 5 stars.i think you still will Be happy with Targus, especially in certain circumstances.Read more.(I gave the same rating for both items.) Here are the reasons I liked the Revain case - Fits perfectly on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The Targus is slightly larger so the pro also fits well but I wanted the smallest fit possible that still fits my desired items - better made than targus the shoulder strap is good and the zips are a from solid metal and very smooth-running. Targus turned out to be cheaper, although it is more expensive. Straps on the back so you can attach it to the wheeled pannier handles. (The Targus listing, as well as the instructions that came with the Targus, claim that it also has this feature, but inexplicably *has* the bag I received doesn't *have* these straps.) The Revain bag is half that expensive like the Targus. bag. Now, as for the fit. I wouldn't say the Revain bag is tight because everything I need fits in perfectly. However, if you have a lot of extra travel essentials, this may not be for you. I list the items that I can comfortably fit in the Revain bag: Main pocket: - Surface Pro 3 - Small notepad - Kindlewhite paper - Large side pocket: - HDMI adapter - Two pens (including touch pen) - Stack of business cards - Flash Drive - USB to Multi USB Port Adapter - A small backup battery for my phone. Small side pocket: - Attached power cord. It seems like a lot, but most of these items are pretty small, so keep that in mind. For example, I probably won't be able to easily slip my USB mouse in my pocket. It's a small side pocket that I put the power cord in, which fits snugly. I can't just put the power cord in my pocket, I have to coil the cord up nicely and then put it in my pocket. The bag fits into the larger side pocket and also takes up space there. So if you're concerned about space, consider that. If you are, I recommend the Targus bag. Even if I sent it back I would be happy with that too. The Targus Side Bag is designed to hold significantly more items than a Revain bag while offering only slightly more space overall. If you have a Surface Pro 3, I think you'll be happy. or a bag. But for me the Revain bag gets 5 stars, Targus 4.
