I needed a place to put my puzzles while I was still working on them and the dining table was no longer suitable. I needed a big one because I usually build puzzles with 1000+ pieces and this size works well for keeping the finished outside edges of the puzzle with any other pieces left around it. Felt makes parts a bit difficult to move around, especially when there isn't a hard surface underneath. I tried it on carpet and it didn't work as well as it did on hardwood floors. But it folds up and packs away fairly easily, with very little movement of parts after you unroll it again. Exactly what I needed.
