I love the fact that bookend feature is expandable and it has proven very useful in accommodating the number of books I have on my desk. But:1. As simple as this product is, and with a few parts it has, the directions were lightly printed and difficult to figure out which part was which as nothing was labeled. Most of the predrilled holes were barely predrilled. It wasn't really a big deal getting a 1/32 inch drill bit to complete the holes as they should have been.2. Once assembled, the expandable portion is pretty flimsy. What I would recommend is affixing these antiskid rubber pads beneath the services that will physically touch the desk, table, what have you. These will add much more stability than counting on the weight of the books alone.3. I should have known better as the dimensions of the drawer were available prior to my purchasing it. Unless you want to store paperclips or other very small office accessories, the drawer is pretty small! I didn't want to go through the machinations of sending it back; in hindsight and in my recommendation to y'all I would buy the adjustable bookend unit alone without the drawers. They really are pretty worthless.
