I use this cable to connect my Bose QC35 headset to my Xbox One controller. The sound is good and the cable picks up my voice so I can communicate with teammates and friends. Volume control function is not compatible with Xbox One controller. You have to do it manually. The mic picks up an excessive amount of sound from the headset itself, forcing you to manually mute the mic via the Xbox guide menu if you don't want your entire team to hear your own audio through your mic. The mute button on this cable is also not compatible with Xbox One controller, you need to do it manually from Xbox manual screen. There are much better products out there, don't waste your money on this product.
