Logitech G305 K/DA Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

I've only used Logitech mice for 10 years. I switched to the G502 from the G400 which I've been using for a very long time. I later added a wireless G602 to my laptop. I've been very happy with their performance for all types of PC games (MMOs like GW2, FFXIV and Warframe, various FPS etc.) and general usage and didn't find any real reason to switch brands. I've never had a crash and my original G400 still works and is now used as a work computer. As a League of Legends player (very casual and very bad) the combination of this version of KDA and the G305 Lightspeed caught my eye and I knew I had to give it a try. First, I'll compare it to the G602, which I've actively used and have a very high opinion of. In terms of size, the G305 is a step down from the G602. I have medium sized hands with slightly long fingers. The G602 is a little big for my hands while the G305 is almost perfect. I have absolutely no problem holding it with my fingertips and for gaming I prefer the rounded shape over the molded G602. I prefer the molded shape of the G602 for general use as it has a thumb rest and is not as tiring. I definitely prefer the lighter G305. Together with the battery, it weighs 96 grams compared to the G602 which weighs 134 grams. Likewise, the G305 only uses 1 AA battery instead of 2 like the G602, which is a huge improvement. In terms of actual performance, I like the new light speed sensor. My biggest complaint about the G602 compared to the G502 (wired version) is that the sensor resolution is only 2500dpi (the G502 is 12000dpi). While this isn't usually a problem, at 2.5k resolution (and I'm guessing 4k) it's too low for me personally. Since the resolution of the G305 reaches 12,000 dpi, just like the G502, this is definitely optimal. Nice to have the option if you need it. Visually, I like the understated styling of the KDA. It's not overkill, so if you're worried about looking too "gamer" or something, I don't think that's going to be a problem. To me it looks like a nice accent color that I like. Of course, if you're looking for a superplayer mode, this might not be enough. Setting up the mouse is extremely easy with the Logitech G HUB software. I don't usually like extra software for fear of bloat (when I look at you Razer), but Logitech has it pretty easy. It is very easy and quick to understand and use. I like the ability to set multiple DPI steps or remove them if not needed. Overall I'm very happy with the G305. I'm very happy to get the smaller variant of the G602 and look forward to using it for many years to come.
