Instructions were to fill, connect and turn on. The first few times I used it I was a little disappointed that the power button didn't seem to be accessible after the diffuser was placed in my car's cup holder, but then I found that the plug/cord turned on Power switch was also located. The problem is solved! I still push the button on the bottom of the diffuser when I put it in my cup holder and I can't just leave it there because it's winter and the water is freezing, but now that I know I can use it with the Can turn on use another power button, it doesn't matter. The cord is the perfect length for my car and I love that you can coil it to the length you want, fully coil it and snap it into the carrying base. It looks beautiful and works well!
