Review on Purina Smartblend Instinct Classic Grain Free by Sarita Smith

Well I've only been eating this food for two days and the results for my dog haven't been very good. I have a 7 year old blue nasal cavity that can and will eat anything I put in it. He has a hard stomach and few foods have ever had an effect on him. Everything changed yesterday, he liked the food, yes, but it wasn't until about an hour after he fed him that he started smelling in my apartment. He had the worst gas imaginable followed by 2 fluid expulsions. I didn't initially associate it with food as it was never a problem for him. So I figured I'd wait and see what happens when I feed him this morning. After that it will be difficult to convince myself that it wasn't the food, today his reaction was the same. Gas appeared about an hour later, and then they ran. He hadn't even finished his meal this morning, which didn't suit him at all. So I went around 3pm and bought another brand for him. He was hungry as he didn't eat much in the morning but I waited until 6pm to feed him again. As I expected everything was fine with the new feed, no gas and no discharge since I fed him over 4 hours ago. All dogs are different, just like us. I am not judging the product and I am not telling you not to buy it. I just let people know what my dog has experienced with him. Some dogs might like it, some like mine might not. Hope that helps!
