Worked well for non-standard use. Hanging Pictures

Some string is required to hang heavy framed pictures from crown molding in a room with a 12 foot ceiling. Braided stainless steel wire or monofilament looked wrong and/or didn't stretch, so after much searching I found this and decided to give it a try. This stuff worked great. It's good quality, the choice of colors allows us to choose something that goes well with the decor of the room, and it's more than durable enough to take 3-1/2' x 4-1/2' plaster and to resist a wood. framed painting without or noticeable stretching. Just in case, we used the wire like this (two strands twisted together), but I think one strand would have held as well. If desired, it is easy to unwind and use as separate threads. To allow for easy adjustment if needed, I made small three-hole adjustment rods (the kind used to tighten tent guy wires) and attached one to each end of the wire where it attached via standard metal picture loops that bolted to the back were the frames. Will use it for other pictures now. Edit: For some reason the product link now has an image and title that doesn't match the fabric covered lamp cord that was purchased (although the description and specs still do). The item purchased was something like this: https://www.amazon.com/PRUNLLA-Industrial-Electrical-18-Gauge-Projects/dp/B07QZJNZTL/ref=pd_sim_b2b_5?pd_rd_w=7NFNJ&pf_rd_p=a07701e4-f565-442a-b97f-93ab23cbb_r&pf_r& =0E65VH59SAZ28G6T8SCH&pd_rd_r= 25748345-fa2f-42c3-91e7-2d43cd0bdd92&pd_rd_wg=JIgIM&pd_rd_i=B07QZJ5N92&th=1
