Review on HP M27Fwa Backlit Monitor with Built-In Speakers and IPS Technology at 1920X1080P resolution and 75Hz refresh rate - 356D5AA#ABA by Jose Fuentes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I'm not sure if it was the right choice

The main reason for buying this monitor for my laptop was the two HDMI ports and 2 additional ports. The HP M27fwa 27-inch monitor has a slower 5-second refresh than advertised. The image fades into a better image after a delay, but no 5 second response, that's for sure. The two HDMI ports gave me more than a few moments of disappointment. Changing HDMI cable brands multiple times didn't help make it more responsive or automatic. The monitor sound is terrible, but most brands have the same problem. I like the minimal display frame and the good menu navigation. The monitor stand has proven to be quite good, although it doesn't adjust vertically, there is a working tilt adjustment.

Pros
  • I like the screen but the only thing missing is the ability to adjust the height!
Cons
  • Ghosting: This is when traces of motion or images remain on the display after an object has been moved or removed.
