Review on Men'S Steampunk Tailcoat Jacket Gothic Victorian Frock Coat Halloween Costume by Jason Pinkney

looks great, no real pockets, no real buttons, suuuper small fit.

Overall it is not a bad jacket. But with halloween rapidly approaching, I wanted to give others a heads up asap as to the sizing. So, sizing: It is way small. I am a size large in almost everything. Every once in a while a medium jacket. Never an XL. After reading reviews I ordered an XL, just to be safe. If I didn't want to move in the jacket, it looks great and fits ok. But if I want to be able to move my arms I need more room. So I returned it and ordered a XXL. I am convinced that will fit right, as the XL looked great, it was just a bit too tight still across the back when moving. So, as some people here suggested, order 2 sizes up from your normal size!Other stuff -Pockets: They are not real. Entirely for show and unlike some fake pockets, cannot even be cut open to use. You would have to sew pocket material to the inside of the jacket and then slit and hem the outside of the jacket where the pocket would normally open. Pretty easy for someone with some basic sewing skills and some fabric.Buttons: The jacket was big enough to close for me, but there indeed are NO holes for the buttons to go through. When I get my new one, being fairly handy with fabric, I intend to cut slits in the jacket so I can actually button it. It will be pretty simple to do. Cut some slits and reinforce the new holes. Easy.Otherwise it is as expected. Thin comfortable fabric. Good for costumes, not so much for reinactments.

Pros
  • Men
Cons
  • Could be seen as a "try-hard" fashion choice.
