I needed a stand for my hot curling iron. I'm a cat lover so thought this would make me smile using it. It's not the slick color most coasters are, but so far it's working well. I like the rubber tips on the bottom that keep the stand from moving. It's a little smaller than I thought it would be, but I have a small curling iron. I think it would be great to use in the kitchen. Hang two or three on the wall for decoration, and when you need one, you can detach and use it. Won't clutter up your countertop.
