Review on ๐ŸŽฎ ButterFox Grip Carry Case: Ultimate Protection for Hori Nintendo Switch Split Pad Pro Controller (OLED Model) by Jamie Sanchez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

quality case; Works with Binbok controllers

Well built case. It's a little bulky and large, but that's an issue when you're trying to support huge third-party devices like the Split Pad Pro and Binboks. One thing I didn't understand is that the playing card slots are sewn to the bottom, not a flap like a bag. The case only protects against bumps and maybe short drops as it's not hard, but in its style it feels pretty tough with a nice soft material inside. The bag is certainly appreciated but cannot hold much. Don't expect to plug in a charger or even a decent-length USB-C cable. It's also worth noting that it has a slight odor right out of the box, but I think it will fade over time. They're almost perfect for bean boxes, there's a bit of wiggle room on all 4 sides, but just barely. The joysticks also fit perfectly into the unevenness of the housing. With binboks, having the pocket on the bottom seems to be better than on the top, as the screen is almost flush with the lid, unlike Hori's controllers. Since the screen is flush, it probably doesn't offer as much shock protection to the front of the screen as the Hori does, so you'll have to be a bit more careful. I can't fault Butterfox as the case wasn't made for Binbox. Overall I am very happy with the case. It won't 100% replace my thin Tomtoc case if portability is the primary concern, but as a more convenient way to keep big fun cons handy it's hard to beat.
